When my friend became engaged she called me the day it happened to tell me about it. Over the next couple of weeks she would take about how excited she was to be engaged. I went to a bridal show with her a couple of weeks ago and went looking at wedding and bridesmaids dresses with her. I found out today that she asked one of our friends to be in her wedding and that she had her wedding party. I was not asked to be in her wedding, and I do not know why. We have been close friends for many years. She is always calling me and asking me to go places with her that have to do with the wedding plans. Why would my friend exclude me from the wedding then ask me to help her prepare for it. I thought the maid of honor and brides maids were suppose to help with the wedding details. I feel hurt. Should I ask my friend why I am not in her wedding. I respect her decisions but if I am not in the wedding I do not want to help her with the details. I feel really hurt.
I know am am invited to the wedding and will happily attend but I feel like she is using me to do the work of her wedding party because they are busy or do not want to help her plan it
